I have had fantastic fishing with my longtime client Terry from Austin Texas, he brought his bride Christie out to catch her first Tarpon & i am happy to report she caught a BIG ONE. The live bait fishing has been epic with lots of bites the last few days, here are a few photos...

I hope when i am 75 i can still pull on a few tarpon like my angler did last Friday. We had a fantastic day in the back country. 
We have been finding good amounts of Tarpon the last few days, but having a hard time trying to get them to eat our chicken feathers. Yesterday on the oceanside we threw at hundreds of fish with only one bite, & today in the backcountry we found a few who seemed happy & followed our fly but again only one bite. Tomorrow is our day! 
Tarpon Fishing with live bait around the Islamorada Bridges has been good over the last few days, the wind has been up but the bite has been on. I have had some 3 kids catch their first Tarpon this week & it has been fun to be a part of it all. 
The wind came up today so we spent the day inshore, the bottom bite was good around the local bridges. 
The snapper fishing was red hot yesterday, i took these kids out & we had a ball fishing with live shrimp on the patch reefs of Islamorada.
