Fishing with Grandad
I just got back from a great 1/2 day trip with my longtime friend Pat who runs Flying Fisherman Sunglasses. He had family in town so we got out on the h20 for a morning of rod bending with his grandson. It was a beautiful day in the back country of the Everglades National Park. We started the day off catching a few snapper for dinner then fought a big Cuda which ate a snapper right off our line, we ended our trip after catching his first shark. The highlight of my day was listening to Pat tell stories to his Grandson about his Grandfather, we had a Family Fun Fishing trip to say the least!
I just got in from a fun day in the shallow waters of the Everglades, we cast at a few Snook & Redfish but didint get a hook in one. My client had never fished on the flats & had a great time, over lunch we talked about how easy it is to catch a fish when you drop over a bag of chum. I think he is hooked on this sightcasting!!!
The Shark Fishing was outstanding yesterday, i had 4 guys in from Tampa & they had never caught anything big so i took them Sharkin. We started the day catching some bottom fish so they would have dinner then when the tide was right i took them to an area where the big lemon sharks are known to hang out and we fed them a few jacks.
